Other Stories... (NIGHT OF MISSIONS)

I am also happy to report that after months and weeks of praying and planning, the GEMA 2011 Missions Fund Raising Dinner, dubbed Night of Missions came off successfully at the Miklin Hotel on Saturday night, September 24. Dr. Seth Anyomi, the first GEMA president was the chairman and Mr. Sylvester Nkrumah, a Bible translator with Wycliffe Translators (GILLBT) brought the night’s message.

He challenged us to learn from the team work of Moses, Aaron, Hur and Joshua in Exodus 17 in defeating the Amalekites as we move forward to complete the unfinished task in Ghana and beyond.

The Harmonic Choir from the Cedars Assemblies of God Church in East Legon rocked the house with powerful Gospel music. A highlight of the night was presentation of gifts to the GEMA immediate past president, Pastor Sampson Dorkunor and his wife, Pastor Mrs. Janet Dorkunor. A citation accompanied the gifts in appreciation of two terms of service to the organization. The former executive secretary, Pastor Albert Tachie was not present to receive his gift and citation. Cash, cheques and pledges totaled 6 ,000 ghc. The door still remains open for those who could not come, to send their donations so that we may reach our target of 20,000 Ghc to rent and furnish a GEMA office to facilitate our operational efforts. Your donations may be paid directly into Ghana Evangelical Missions Association account number ----- at Unibank, Akweteman Branch or you may call our treasurer, Richard Toxla tel.----- or our secretary Grace Brew tel------ who would be happy to come to your end to pick cheque or cash.
